The Official Feedback

I wasn't kidding when I said I would be back to post my eval of the MAC Oil Control Lotion and Prescriptives Virtually Fresh foundation. You doubters. The quick and dirty is as follows:

MAC Oil Control Lotion
Love it. This stuff really does work. Delivers moisture to my skin still while really helping out with mid-morning/mid-day shine. Seriously reduces need to blot. Bravo, MAC.

Prescriptives Virtually Fresh

Lukewarm. Like the even distribution of color. Like that it really does even out overall skin tone and create a consistent base for any coverup you need to add. Don't like that it dries just a tad on the powdery side, and is therefore a little more visible to the naked eye than one would probably prefer.

BONUS review:

L'Oreal Vive Pro

Not a huge fan. My hair doesn't really feel clean after using this stuff - rather, it feels a little weighted down and thick/uncooperative. Sorry, L'Oreal, I was really rooting for you on this one.

Now on the Testing Block

I keep my promises people. Starting tomorrow, the Sneezer's labs will be testing L'Oreal Color Vive, Prescriptives Virtually Fresh foundation, and MAC Oil Control Lotion (a little late in the summer, I know).

I'll have a report on the MAC and Prescriptives soon, so check me in about a week.

Just An Observation...

...but what is WITH these women who let their hair get so parched! I have to say that one of my most-often observed beauty sins is women who have visibly dried, frizzy and dull hair. I know I've already mentioned the importance of conditioning (I did, didn't I?), but I do realize that sometimes people can feel a little helpless when it comes to more serious needs. Let me assure all of you, there are more than enough solutions to the dry and damaged hair problems of the world, and they range among the following:

* hot oil treatments (DIY)
* deep conditioning treatments (DIY or salon)
* multi-day conditioning/nutrient treatments (DIY or salon)

Your hair is one of the first things people will notice about you, and while I do NOT suggest in any way that anyone should be so superficial as to lose sleep over these things, I do however encourage the care of one's features - you've got 'em your whole life! Hair takes a ton of abuse - coloring, drying, styling, sun, pollution - so it only makes sense that we all need to give it a litte extra TLC!
